We are in the sustainable company.

Donetsk, has become the 7th city of Ukraine, which joined European Sustainable Cities and Towns Campaigns. Odessa, Nikolaev, Mirgorod, Sumy, Nikopol and Sevastopol did this before us.

What does participation in this Campaign mean to us? It means that population welfare growth (if it is ever coming) should be achieved at the cost of new resource saving technologies, but not at the cost of extensive resource usage. This is exactly the idea of the Aaborgh Charter, which was signed by Vladimir Rybak, the mayor of Donetsk.

To achieve this, we have to, among lots of other things, change public awareness at the level of every producer and consumer. And this is the aim of environmental project "Rosa Vetrov". Participants of this project initiated establishment of Donetsk Sustainable Cities Committee. Representatives of the State Agency of Ecology and Natural Resources, local authorities, business, science and culture. And this was the decision of Donetsk Sustainable Cities Committee to join the Campaign.
